Dream was called Dream because she was my Dream of having chocolate puppies for us.........until I was told by someone who had seen her pedigree that she didnt carry the chocolate gene (wrong!!)

Dream was always a challenge......she was a little monster, really naughty and always in trouble! But even now at 9 years old she is like it! She is our Top dog, no one messes with her at all. But she has a lovely temperment and has passed that onto her puppies too.

She has had 3 litters in total. The first litter sadly she picked up an infection and the puppies had joint problems as they grew up. Her second litter by total chance I used a chocolate dog on her, it cost us a lot of time and money to get shot of the infection that she carried but after a lot of hard work we did, thanks to our vet Vicki. My intention was to keep a black bitch that would carry chocolate and eventually I would have a chocolate puppy a few generations on...........but to our amazement she produced a black and chocolate litter, our first ever chocolates after 16 years of breeding.........its was such an incredible thing for us to achieve by pure chance. Sadly no chocolate bitch in the litter, so I kept the one and only DIVA.

I then decided to have a final litter to Deeds, chocolate again, and see if I could manage a chocolate girl now, this really had been my dream to breed all three colours correctly and to keep a bitch to carry on the choclate line in  Dream. But......here we go again, sadly the infection had come back again........so off to the vets again we went. Dream got to know our wonderful vet Caroline and she and Dream managed to finally get rid of the awful infection just before mating her to Deeds, and 9 weeks later she produced the most amazing litter of 8 puppies, black and chocolate again, but this time there was 3 chocolate bitches and one of them was chosen to stay and she is known as Lilli.

So we have had such a lot of ups and downs with our special gilr, but we got there in the end, and we thank her so so much.

Dream has now been spayed, and is enjoying life as top dog chasing rabbits and deers when she can......!! And pinching all of the duvet from her mum and dad at night!!
